Delays, delays, delays. Thank you, Department of Code Enforcement!
BUT HERE'S THE GOOD NEWS... AS OF NOVEMBER 2nd 2010, THE NEW DINING ROOM IS ONCE AGAIN ALL SYSTEMS GO!
That's right... more than twice our current dining capacity is once again going to be a reality! Beautifully finished and furnished (with brand new central air and heat, even!), and with 700 SQUARE FEET OF WALL SPACE AWAITING YOUR NEW GRAFFITI!
The new dining room will see many new changes @ The Roux, changes we've studied and considered carefully, all with the intent of improving your Roux experience. Want immediate seating? You got it. Immediate food and drink? You got it. We're not making this up, folks. Soon, you can expect the end of extreme waits for dining room seating. Can we get a WAHOO? Seriously. We need some wahoos for this. We're pretty excited, and so should you be!
There's only a touch of bad news. There's a new item we need to raise funds for... in the New World Order, we've got to relocate an exterior door. Brick, mortar, glass.... it's all got to get moved!
HOW YOU CAN HELP
We're gonna cut to the chase here. To get this entire project completed in five weeks, we're gonna need to call in favors. We'll need manpower. We'll need materials. Most importantly, we'll need funding. You've stumbled on the portion of our "I Want To Help" program entitled...
Papa's created an online registry, through which you can browse the materials needed to accomplish our goal. Materials include lumber, drywall, paint, lighting, and more. We've done our best to estimate the cost per item, and are offering up this registry to any who would like to sponsor one or two or a hundred items. Care to fund us with a fiver? Sponsor a sheet of drywall. Wanting to do more? Maybe a gallon of paint, pack of roller brushes, a light fixture, or such. Take a peek, see what we're up to. Sponsors will be honored with a nice permanent hardwood plaque in the new dining room. Oh, by the way, if you're in the Trophy business, maybe you'll want to sponsor the creation of a nice hardwood plaque?
When you fund a particular material for our construction phase, the registry keeps track of the typs and number of virtual items purchased. Basically, you're funding a "general fund" for our needs, but this way we all know what the goal is, and we all know what's been funded and what hasn't.
Take a peek at our needs, and please feel free to ask us any question at all at any time when you stop in The Roux. Thank you!
